Part of our sustainability mission includes fostering the next generation of growers and farmers.

“School farms are excellent, hands-on learning laboratories that inspire kids to explore the environment and think about sustainability,” said Smart Yields’ Co-Founder & Head of Education Lizzy Schiller. “We’re working with educators to boost student engagement by giving them a compelling new connection to their gardens both inside and outside the classroom.”

This week we spent some time sharing our app’s story with a computer science class at Waialua High School, and meeting with young students at Lanikai Elementary Public Charter School, with which we’ll be conducting a pilot smart farm project next school year!
